Let's get your sleigh floating

Floating in about 10 seconds. Here's exactly how.

  1. Plug in and power on

    Place the base on a flat, level surface and plug it in. Press the button: the small status light comes on.

  2. Hold it above the centre

    Hold the sleigh a little above the centre of the base.

  3. Feel it catch, then let go

    You'll feel the magnet catch and balance it. Gently let go, and it floats.

It can take a couple of tries the first time. That's normal: the sleigh needs to find just the right spot. Once you've felt it catch, it gets easy.

Won't balance?

It drops or won't balance

Check the base is on a flat, level surface and the small status light is on. Hold the sleigh a little above the centre and try a little higher or a little lower until you feel it catch. Keep it centred as you let go.

It drifts to one side

Move the base away from metal objects, speakers, phones and other magnets. They can disturb the balance. A clear spot on a shelf or mantel, away from metal, works best.

There's no light on the base

Make sure the cable is pushed firmly into the back of the base and into the wall adapter, and that the outlet works. Then press the button again.

Good to know

  • The base contains strong magnets. Keep it away from pacemakers and other medical implants, and from bank cards, watches and electronics.
  • It's a display piece, not a toy. Keep it out of reach of small children and pets. The hand-painted resin figurine can break if dropped.
  • Indoor use only. Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
